The Newest Expression in the Pledge Legacy

Pledge Purple — A Premier Collection Release

THE PINNACLE OF THE PLEDGE SERIES

The foundation of Pledge Purple begins with an extraordinary achievement. Pledge Prequel was named Cigar Aficionado’s 2020 No. 1 Cigar of the Year, earning an exceptional 98 rating — one of the highest honors in premium cigars.

That recognition established Pledge as one of the most celebrated blends in modern cigar history, setting a new benchmark for balance, craftsmanship, and complexity. Pledge Purple builds upon that legacy, drawing from the same remarkable origins that defined the original and elevating them into a rare and evolved expression.

A Release Celebrating Five Years of Legacy and Evolution.

Pledge Purple represents the next chapter in one of Casa Carrillo’s most celebrated stories.

Created to mark the five-year anniversary of Pledge Prequel — Cigar Aficionado’s 2020 Cigar of the Year — this release reflects patience, intention, and the belief that great tobacco reveals its true character only with time.

This is not a continuation. It is the summit.

This Purple is a step above the original Pledge. I purchased a five pack and have been able to find not on backorder and ordered three boxes. This is the best cigar that I have smoked in my 40 plus years of cigars. The purple hits all of my desired taste in a cigar. I am in love again with cigars. The only bad thing is having to reframe myself from smoking them daily. Thanks Casa Carrillo!

Topshelf smoke from start to finish

Outstanding! The Pledge Purple is a joy to smoke from start to finish. The construction, taste, burn, and aroma are all perfect. This is my fourth stick of the Casa Carrillo Pledge Purple. Each of the cigars have been consistent with quality, craftsman, and enjoyment. The only downside I see is six more cigars and my box of Pledge Purple are empty. I highly recommend this cigar!

A Unique Interpretation of An EPC Classic

Had they simply called it “Purple,” it would clearly stand on its own. However, the Pledge connection, calls into play the need for comparison. That would be a mistake. The use of the aged Pledge wrapper adds considerable richness to the cigar, but this stick is all its own. Lite up and let Pledge Purple show you why Ernest is one of the industries greats when it comes to blending.
