Casa Carrillo announces Deep Blue Limited Edition 2026. Capped at 2,500 individually numbered boxes with 20 cigars each, this is a cigar built for the long draw. Rolled at the Casa Carrillo factory in the Dominican Republic, Deep Blue opens composed and smooth, then shifts as you go deeper.
The name pulls from two places: the ocean’s unseen depths and Hades, the ancient Greek god of the underworld. Both point to the same idea. What carries the most weight is usually what you can’t see at first.
Deep Blue is blended around that idea. The first draws are smooth and sweet. Earth and body come next. Strength builds slowly from there, never abrupt, never in a rush. The blend keeps shifting through the entire smoke.

The Nicaraguan Jalapa wrapper brings refined sweetness and aromatic lift. The first draws are composed and easy.

This cigar took me to places within my mental psyche, it brought back memories from travels abroad throughout my military career. Just an amazing favorable cigar, maintaining multilevel complexity throughout my enjoyable time that forced me intentionally take time to reflect on life achievements and enjoy that very moment in time and what it took to get me to where I am now. Anyone missing out on this cigar will live a life of regret from the should’ve, would’ve but didn’t syndrome.
An enjoyable experience. Starts off with some light pepper, with a hint of sweetness, moving on with a complexity of taste that takes me back to my military travels throughout the world. This is not a stick you want to rush through.
